With the development of renewable energy, the energy management system has facedthe increasing challenges. Therefore, energy control technology had become an importantmeans to solve the challenge which based on the energy storage device. The developmentof electric vehicle made the way of battery energy storage got rapid improvement. Onaccount of analyzing energy storing devicein existence, the paper focuses on introducingthe battery energy storage system, and designing control method of battery managementsystem focused on battery energy storage. The battery storage management systemsresponsible for evaluating, controlling and managing SOC, and making a health monitoringfor the state of battery. Therefore, The SOC dynamic evaluation and implementationmethod of storage battery, the method of monitoring health status and implementation arestudied in this paper.The development of battery energy storage system is understood through the literaturedata, basic classification, basic structure and working principle of the battery energy storagesystem is deeply known, and making a summary of various making storage system. Itintroduces relevant speculative knowledge of the model of battery, and states basic controltheory of the battery management system. The performance of battery charging anddischarging can be obtained, the characteristics of battery charging and discharging, theinfluencing factor of SOC by the experiment. Simple introduction of the principle andlimitations of Kalman and extended Kalman filter are made in the paper. In addition,Unscented Kalman Filter is adopted in the assessment of SOC which has overcome theshortcoming of the former, and it has applied to the estimation of internal resistance of thebattery.The software and hard wares system of dynamic battery SOC estimation test isdesigned. The system consists of data sampling, executing SOC algorithm, implementationof internal resistance estimation algorithm, communication and information storage management and PC data display module and so on. The synchronized monitoring ofcurrent, voltage and temperature, real-time display of upper monitor, and the statemonitoring and protection of the state of battery health are achieved in the system. Sobattery health status of battery storage system and SOC dynamic real-time and on-lineaccurate assessment are realized.In this paper, dynamic estimation of battery SOC and the health State monitoring ofbattery SOC have good practical estimation effects, with energy storage system is needed toestimate battery SOC dynamic accuracy requirements of the status monitoring and health.
