Recent years, wind power as a kind of clean and renewable energy source is drawingmore and more attention since the energy issues become increasingly serious. produceelectricity from wind,as the main means of wind energy utilization, has got a certaindevelopment. In2010China actually surpassed US as the world’s top producer of energyfrom wind. However,by contrast with the great-leap-forward development of the windpower, domestic wind power equipment has low reliability and high maintenancecost.Blade is one of the most important parts on wind turbine.A great number of themsuffered from the damage caused by harsh environments, which may shorten its servicelife. In this paper, the structure and the load of the blade is mainly studied.1.According to the classic blade design theories and models,a blade is designed.AirfoilNACA4412is selected as basic airfoil, most of the parameters was calculated by Matlabsoftware.2.The results were saved as a UG identifiable file after using EXCEL office softwarefor coordinate transformation. Then import it into UG to generate a3d model of the blade.3.Set blade parameter in Bladed software to calculate distribution and the loads of across section which changes with time. The basis for subsequent finite element analysis isprovided.4. Based on the ANSYS software and the results calculated by Bladed, the finiteelement analysis was carried out.The weak position of the blade is identified and theinfluence of different operating mode on the blade is analyzed.
