Abstract/Summary:
Electrical vehicle development becomes a hotspot in recent years.Consequently, the testing of electrical vehicle powertrain is an importantissue. The test bench is a platform for research, developing and testingelectrical vehicle powertrain system and the vehicle motor. The testresults are reasonable when test unit operates in a similar condition as realvehicle. With the improvement of power electronic and control technique,most benches use AC motor to simulate the real vehicle environment..Research on using AC motor for engine emulation is a hot point of testbench study.In this paper, it is proposed that the flexible method of constructingthis electrical vehicle test bench based on the EtherCAT and the visualinstrument technology. The LabVIEW VeriStand provides the platform tosupport the hardware in the loop system compiled with MATLABSIMULINK. In the hardware in the loop system, the model provides thevisual parts of the real vehicle. This system combined with the testing controller and the testing bench constitutes the whole package of thetesting system of the electrical vehicle.In order to simulate the real dynamic loads of the vehicle preciselyand quickly, this paper studies and compares several control methods forthe dynamometer control system. This paper used the traditional controlmethod to analyze different control method and made simulations to testthe availability with MATLAB. Finally, experiment is performed tovalidate load emulation methods.The limitations and future improvement of paper are presented as thefinal part.
