Vertical design is an important part of the general drawing design and industrialtransportation. The reasonableness of the vertical design not only directly related to thereasonableness of the production process and transport links, but also related to thesecurity and stability and construction investment and project cost of the entire site.Especially in the sloping grounds, transportation links between buildings and structuresare more complex, the amounts of all kinds of drainage structures and retainingengineering have a significant increase. Therefore, the optimization problems on slopingvertical design of the venue urgent need to solve urgently, which can deal well with therelations between venue layout and vertical design.Based on the analysis of current research status at home and abroad, the paperstarts with the basic theory of the vertical design, summarizes the main problemsexisting in vertical design optimization, and the main problems existing in the designoptimization of vertical. Grading level optimization, optimization of earthwork quantityand vertical design scheme evaluation are researched.(1) The optimization of site elevationGrading elevation is the foundation and key of the vertical design, this paper firstlyanalyzes the traditional grading elevation calculation method. In the sloping field,because of its high relief, it is easy to appear the heavy filling and excavation earthwork,while the traditional calculation method can’t avoid this problem. Therefore, this paperuses the improved least square method to optimize the grading elevation, making thecalculation of grading level can not only meet the highest flood level, good cohesion ofunderground water level, the internal and external transportation site, also can make the site earthwork quantity minimum and have basic balance, can avoid the heavy fillingand excavation earthwork as much as possible.(2) The optimization of the earthwork quantityEarthwork quantity calculation accuracy has decisive role for earthworkengineering cost control, the paper summarizes the calculation method, and discussesthe calculation formula of earth volume of the grid method in special cases; Based onthe analysis of main factors affecting the precision of earthwork quantity, the paperanalyzes the relationship between the calculation accuracy of ground slope and the areaand the slope of the site. Then by using the MATLAB platform, the paper determinesthe effect of site area and the natural slope to the value of the grid side under certainprecision. Above all, it can get the scope of grid side and get its equation(3) The evaluation of the vertical design schemeThe rationality of the vertical design is relation to use functionality, security,economic and landscape of the entire field. So the evaluation and comparison of thevertical design is essential for the vertical design. Based on the analysis of the factorsthat have influence on the vertical design, combining qualitative and quantitativeindexes, the paper sets up the evaluation index system of the vertical design, using thegrey correlation entropy and fuzzy matter-element evaluation model to evaluate andanalyze the vertical design scheme and the model is tested by an example at last.The paper provides a reference for the sloping site vertical design optimizationtheory and methods, by optimizing the grading elevation of the vertical elevation andearthwork and vertical design exposition and analysis of the reasonableness of theresults of the example application, has a certain reference value for practicalengineering applications.
