The cantilever supportsystem has the advantages of easy operation, erection of flexible, saving timeand material saving, so it occupy the leading position in the construction. But forlacking of clearly cognition about the cantilever support system, especially about thestability bearing capacity，then leading the more accident happened. The paper takecantilever support system as the research object, and give study and discussion aboutthe application of the new cantilever support system in worksite, the load-carryingcapacity of cantilever support system, semi-rigid character and typical case in theconstruction.（1）The paper Summarizes seven kinds of cantilever support systems and liststhree kinds of construction scheme about cantilever support system, one of them isspecial diagonal style cantilever support system which is an creative design based onthe traditional Cantilever scaffold, that is add diagonal rod to increase the length ofcantilever scaffold then to meet the needs of the superstructure.（2）To study the stability of cantilever support system, and put forward a moresuitable formula for cantilever support system, relative theory had been studied, andconstruction loads had been listed, at the same time, introducing the generalized initialdefects, concluding the design methods about the cantilever support system.（3）The article has carried on calculation analysis of cantilever support systemand got the deformation way by analysis19kinds of working condition for thediagonal style cantilever support system, at last got the most important influence for the stability of the cantilever support system; to find the ultimate capacity for thepush-pull style cantilever support system, and give the contrastive analysis of thespecial diagonal style cantilever support system by filed test and ANSYS analysis.
