The Lishan Huaqing Pool entered into a sliver age from a pre-historical societyuntil the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Sui dynasties. It was then in a period of great prosperityduring the Tang dynasty, but finally fell into a decline during the Song, Yuan, Ming, andQing dynasties. This process took place over a period of7000years. During this wholedevelopment period of the Huaqing Pool, the People were in harmony with the naturalenvironment. With the increasing development of urbanization, the changes to the urbanlandscape directly impacted the changes of Huaqing Pool’environment. This essay will examine the influence of urbanization on the environment of anurban landscape. According to the features of plant ecology, this essay will collectrelevant references and materials all over the world, whilst focusing on the currentstatus of the Huaqing Pool, and analyse the vegetation environments using elements ofplant ecology. Simultaneously, combined with the growing demands of plants, this essaywill provide classifications for and growth rates of the plants, as well as achievemeasures according to the growth features of the plants. In the process of research and analysis on the Huaqing Pool, it was observed thatthe paving of a hardened ground layer and the underground construction of complexfacilities contributed to the fragmentation of the greenbelt; had a serious impact on thesoil structure, in terms of both the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil; andresulted in a separation of the moisture, gases, organics, and microbiology of the soil. The photosynthesis of plants would be gravely affected by an increasing growth of theheight, acreage and density of the surrounding buildings and the shade area. Meanwhile, the normal physiological activity of plants in the Huaqing Pool would be influenced bythe urban air contamination. The author proposes an adaptive design focusing on theexisting eco-environment, based on the resistant physiological characteristics of gardenplants. I will also provide an adjustment to and the reconstruction design on theinappropriate eco-environment, according to the demands of plants on theeco-environment, which aims to adapt to the needs of plant landscapes. In addition, itwill provide a basis for the development and heritage of the classical and imperialgardens by conducting empirical research on and an analysis of the process ofconstruction and design under Yard of No.8. Furthermore, it will be applied to a morewidely urban vegetation habitat by a summarized common approach to garden plantseco-environments which adapts to the reconstruction.
