With the continuous development of the world economy,0i1consumptionbecome faster and faster. As a non-renewable energy sources, oil will eventually beexhausted. Hydraulic excavator is the one of the most widely used engineeringmachinery, is the construction machinery with high energy consumption and highemission. Therefore, the study on energy-saving technology of hydraulic excavatorshas important practical significance.At present, the study on potential energy recovery technology of hydraulicexcavator boom mainly Can be divided into mechanical, hydraulic and electrical. Thearticle proposed a new type of excavator boom energy recycling system through theanalysis of the existing potential energy recovery technology. In this platform therecovered potential energy will be converted into electrical energy,and stored in thebattery for secondary use.This paper includes several parts as follows:(1) Using the D-H method to establish the coordinate system of excavator workingdevice, and deduced coordinate conversion between different coordinatesystems. Adynamical model is deduced by Formula Lagrange in the end.Andwe calculate the design formulas of the boom’s kinetic and potential energy.(2) Rigid body dynamics analysis of hydraulic excavators. Taking a certain type ofexcavator as the prototype, a dynamic load curve of hydraulic cylinder isobtained through the dynamic analysis software ADAMS under differentconditions. To provide a reliable basis for the simulation study of the lateenergy recovery. (3) In order to solve the problems of general excavator, such as wasted potentialenergy when the boom falls down, a new boom potential energy recoverysystem is designed. And mathematical modeling of each component in thesystem of hydraulic pressure. The work installment’s hydraulic system wascreated in SimulationX software, and the recovery system simulation researchon energy recovery efficiency under dynamic load. It proved the energy savingeffect was better.(4) In order to research the performance of excavator boom potential energyrecovery system better, we established the experimental Stage. The componentincludes the load system, the energy recovery system, the energy reuse systemand control system. It‘s provide a powerful test platform for analysis of theeffect of energy saving and efficiency of the system for the latter.
