Virtual assembly is an important part of virtual manufacturing, this technology willshort the development cycle, reduce the cost of product, improve company’s competitionin the market and be conducive to concurrent engineering. With the advent of network era,research on web-oriented virtual assembly technology is of great significance.The virtual assembly platform of gear reducer based on VRML was constructed inthis dissertation. The key technology of virtual assembly was studied, includingparametric modeling, collision and interference checking, optimization of assembly pathetc. The main contents are as follows:The parameterized3D VRML models were constructed by VRML and solidworks.Among them, simple models were constructed by VRML and JavaScript, complexmodels were constructed by solidworks software and VB.The technology of virtual assembly and collision and interference checking werestudied based on VRML. The rapid positioning of the assembly parts were based on axisand sensor node. To evaluate the validty of assembly, collision and interference checkingwas implemented by bounding box of the parts.The optimization of virtual assembly path was investigated. The two-dimensionalassembly path was optimized by genetic algorithm and the effectiveness of the proposedalgorithm was verified by using MATLAB.A virtual assembly platform of gear reducer based on VRML was constructed.Customer can interactively assemble and check the collision and interference of the partsthrough it. |
