As a key technique of advanced manufacture technology such as Agent Manufacture & Virtual Manufacture, the Vitual Assembly is attracted concerns by both acadmic and industrial circles. The virtual environment of the assembly is builded by data modeling to the product. Through this method, the assembly process could be simulated and analysed. Hence, the assembly schema could be evaluate conveniently in the product reseach and design process, and the assenmbly defaults could be found and revised as early as possible. Also this assembly information could be feedback to the product design step, so that the assembly design could be optimized.Modern small satellite has been popular all over the world since its obviously merits such as low cost, short period of design and development, high density of function and so on. And it is especially fit for university to design and develop. Because of all above, NUAA(Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics) started a project of"TXZ"micro-satellite. Founded on the project, a Virtual Assembly System has been designed and analyzed for"TXZ"micro-satellite in this dissertation. Based on the Pro/E software, deep research and work were made in the Virtual Assembly Model, Assembly Process Planning,Interference and Assembly Simulation. The main work include:(1) A directed assembly graph is introduced to represent the precedence relationship between components. After that, an assembly relation matrix is established. Then, an Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) strategy is presented to generate a assembly sequence which is feasibility and optimization. And a kind of data structure named by tree-chain storage structure is put forward in this paper, which can store directed graph. As to the algorithms of directed graph, it is favorable to improve operation speed and depress complexity(2) In the complicated assemblage of satellite, a improved ant colony optimization algorithm is introduced to generate assembly sequence through an assembly relation matrix. But it is easy to fall in local peak, and a adaptive pseudo random proportional action choice rule is used to escape from local peak. Though the method which update the local and full pheromone. The ants is helped search the optimization result in the whole range quickly.(3) Fast interference checking algorithm based on Bounding boxes is researched.Through the rogressive refinement of two types of bounding boxes, the precision and effective of the algorithm is improved. (4) Pro/ENGINEER assembly simulation technology is applied to realize the exchange of position and movement of assembly parts; and the Pro/TOOLKIT development technology and through man- machine interactive interface is applied to realize the whole virtual assembly process of satellite assembly modeling and assembly simulation.(5) On the basis of Pro/E environment, and a kind of attached assembly simulation system which validates the researched technology theory and implement method on pedestal is developped.
