Architecture in Ming Dynasty is the transitional period from the Style of SongDynasty to Qing Dynasty, construction of Forbidden City went through Ming to QingDynasty and lasted for several decades. Forbidden City is the representative ofAuthoritative Architecture and can reflect the process of it. Nanxun Hall is one of thefew Authoritative Architecture cases of early Ming Dynasty, so research on it is helpfulto clear up the characteristics of early MingArchitecture.The paper analyses shape and structure of Nanxun Hall and makes a repair designof it. The paper is divided into two sections.Section One researches on history study, shape and structure, the relationship withlater architectures. There were nearly no history archives after it was first constructed soit is difficult to judge the building time. However, the conservation of Nanxun Hall is ingood condition. We can analyze the characters of wooden structure and summarize itsform characters. Afterward, sum up its epoch features and draw a conclusion of buildingtime.Section Two is the conservational and repair design program. Nanxun Hall is ofgreat value in several aspects. The conservation is good and fit for repair protectionbased on the present situation. Also the paper gives a scheme of its inner fitments andcompound patterns of former times according to history archives in order to review itsformer glorious.
