Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) is such a power electronic device that provides theloads with high quality and uninterruptible electronic power.According to the differences of the topology structures of the power circuits, UPS canbe divided into backup UPS, on-line interactive UPS and on-line UPS, among them, theperformance of the on-line UPS is best, so also the most widely used. At present, UPSusing analog control technique is still the mainstream, but using a large number of discretecomponents in the control circuits results in some inherent defects, using digital controltechnique instead can effectively solve these problems. The on-line UPS based DSPTMS320F2808was chosen and studied.1. Fist, the development status and development trend of the UPS was introduced, incomparison of the advantages and disadvantages of several kinds of UPS, the on-lineUPS was chosen. Then the over-all structure of the UPS based on DSP was designed.The research task was clear in this section.2. The basic principle of the active power factor corrector was discussed, and theBoost power circuit of and control circuit were designed based on UC3854, then theMATLAB/Simulink simulation model which describes the control process was setup.3. The main circuit of the inverter was analyzed, and the mathematical model of theinverter was established, then the working process of the inverter was studied insimulation.4. The control strategies of the inverter was studied and the composite control strategythat combines the proportional control and repetitive control was adopted, then theparameters of the controller was designed, and the control effect of the controlstrategy was tested in the MATLAB/Simulink environment.5. The system hardware circuits including the DSP power supply circuit, the DCvoltage sampling circuit, AC voltage detection circuit and phase detection circuitwere designed; the software control flows of the soft-start control, SPWM waveformcontrol, A/D sampling control were also designed.
