At present, our country economic society is developing rapidly,which highwayconstruction is in full swing and vehicle population is increasing every day. Inpeople’s daily life, choosing the highway traffic as a trip mode becomes higher andhigher frequently and the travel range is more and more broad. In such a situation, thequality requirements of the people traveling on the highway has become increasinglyhigh, and is no longer limited to the aspects such as safety, high-speed, convenientand accessibility. Driving comfort has become an important index to evaluate thequality of the road trip. More and more people are paying close attention to the ridingcomfort. Comfortable driving experience not only is influenced by motor vehiclefactors, and has close ties with the quality of highway alignment. Driving comfort andthe quality of highway horizontal and vertical alignment influence each other andpromote each other. In view of this, the research on the relationship between ridingcomfort and parameter of the highway horizontal and vertical alignment has animportant significance in the theory and engineering practice.Firstly, this thesis introduces the research status and development situation ofhighway alignment design at home and abroad. Combined with our existing routespecification, this paper analyzes the design methods of the key parameters ofhighway horizontal and vertical alignment, and expounds the interaction relationshipbetween riding comfort and the key parameters of linear design. The key parametersof affecting the riding comfort are established finally by analyzing, which includeradius of horizontal curve, superelevation and radius of vertical curve. It is byqualitative study on the relationship of ride comfort and road interaction parameter.Secondly, it is based on the relevant theory of riding comfort, which analyzes thefactors that influence the riding comfort. Among them, highway alignment qualitythat determines the ride performance is the most main influencing factors.Immediately, it respectively analyzes and summarizes evaluation indicators andmethods of the riding comfort both at home and abroad from the two aspects of carsand roads. Put forward the evaluation criterion of highway alignment design parameters, which is ISO2631is suitable for this research.Finally, it proposed the car driving force and all kinds of resistance byanalyzing the equation of motion. The paper studies and discusses the equilibriumcondition of forces in the process of riding, which finds out quantitative relationshipbetween the riding comfort and the key parameters of highway horizontal and verticalalignment, and gets the quantitative formulas. Taking testing section of second-classhighway for example, referring to ISO2631international standards, and using VisualBasic6.0to write the comprehensive evaluation program. It evaluates the ridingcomfort of highway alignment to verify the practicability and feasibility of themethod. And put forward the measures to improve riding comfort. The results furthervalidate the feasibility and practicality of the method.The value of this research lies in using research results can evaluate ridingcomfort of the built-highway, and can be used to guide the alignment design ofplanning construction project, and provide the beneficial reference. Therefore, it has acertain practicalness and innovativeness.
