Road construction in China has been developing rapidly. The mileage of road inChina has been increasing twice in the past10years; However, the road traffic safetysituation of China is very serious. During2002to2011, road accidents of China causeabout death of87thousand people per year in average. Traffic safety issue hasbecome the focus of people’s attention. Research shows that about1/4of theaccidents are caused by human and road/environment disharmony. Therefore, trafficsafety has become an important subject in traffic industry, and all countries in theworld are focused on reducing the occurrence of traffic accidents. In order to improvethe level of road traffic safety, it needs to recognize the traffic situation by trafficevaluation approaches, analyze the causes of traffic crashes, and propose propertyimprovement measurements. Therefore, the evaluation of road traffic safety is animportant task for traffic safety workers.Road traffic safety evaluation is a safety review work of road engineering projectand related any other analysis work to road users of the project. It finds and analyzesthe potential safety problems of the project, which under construction or already inbuilding, and finally gives the corresponding recommendations for improvementmeasures. According to a series of continuous improving work, it can prevent someof the traffic accidents, and reduce traffic accident severity and economic loss.In the thesis, the impact factors of road traffic safety are analyzed firstly. Theapproach which based on simulating driving and traffic psychology of road trafficsafety evaluation is proposed and used. The paper focuses on the comparativeanalysis of the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod. Road traffic safety evaluation method and its application based on drivingsimulation. In the simulating driving process, some of the adverse reactions mayoccur in the use of the road in the process are acquired. The evaluation work of roadis implemented combining the driver subjective sense of safety and security.According to the evaluation results, the suggestions on the reliability of road designand construction are propose, to improve the road traffic safety. |
