With the through development of manufacturing informatization, the CAPP system isbecoming more and more popular in manufacturing industry, and also users have put forwardhigher requirements for it. While in the context of increasingly competitive market, themultiplex technology is applied more and more widely. So how to combine the developmentof the two becomes an important research subject. According to this, the thesis proposes aCAPP system that uses the multiplex technology and concept, which is the similar partscomparison and process reuse system based on manufacturing feature, mainly focusing on thereuse of the similar parts process data.Firstly, the thesis analyses the background, demand and function target of the processreuse system; designs the hierarchical system architecture which includes system support, data storage, function module and user operation four layers, and also the basic procedure ofthe process reuse system; introduces the five function modules of the system briefly. Then the thesis explains the key techniques of the system in detail, which are featurerecognition and the creation of the feature topology model for a part, similar parts comparisonand feature equivalence or reuse, and the process reuse for feature and part. Based on thefeature recognition and the extraction of its attribute, the feature topology model for a part iscreated, and is used to compare the two similar parts. After that, the thesis explains the basicrule of the feature comparison, and explains the principles and realization methods of processreuse for feature and part. Finally, two similar cabinet parts are taken as an example to explain the whole processesof the system, verifying the feasibility and practicability of it.
