Dehumidification has been used in many fields. However the traditional compressiondehumidification equipment have large size, big noise and is harmful to the environment.The thermoelectric dehumidifying technology is very suitable for the dehumidification ofsmall space owing to its advantages, such as small size, little noise and compatible withthe solar energy.Thermoelectric dehumidification system is a multi-physics system involving heat,mass, power and time, so it’s a little difficult to do the simulation study simultaneously.This study proposes a model that can do simulation study of the system. Established amathematical model of a thermoelectric module based on the principle of thermoelectriccooling technology; and then proposed a method of calculating thermal resistance of theheat sink according to the structure parameters of the heat sink; By analyzing thedehumidification process happened on the surface of the cold side heat sink, pointed outthat the driven force of the dehumidification process is the difference between themoisture content of the inlet air and saturated air layer near the surface cold side heat sink,and established the mathematical model of the cooling and dehumidifying process.According to the analogy principle, the thermal variables such as thermal resistance, heatcapacity, and temperature are equivalent to the electrical variables such as the resistance,electrical capacitance and voltage, and the moisture content in the mass transfer processare also equivalent to the electrical voltage, the resistance in the mass transfer process arealso equivalent to the resistance in the electrical circuit. Established the equivalentelectrical circuit model for the system in an electrical circuit software.And use the model to study the affecting factors of the thermoelectric dehumidifiersystem, such as the structure of the heat sink, heat sink thermal resistance, ambienttemperature and humidity, and the relationship of the system COP and dehumidification rate changing with the current. Analyzed the relation between the flow rate of the fan, thestructure of the heat sink and the thermal resistance of the heat sink; And got a structurethat is possible to achieve a larger dehumidification rate of the thermoelectric dehumidifiersystem; then in the case of the specific structure of the heat sink, the dehumidification rateof the thermoelectric dehumidifier system changing with temperature and humidity underdifferent circumstances were studied; finally studied the system COP anddehumidification rate in the thermoelectric dehumidifier system changing with the current,under the environmental conditions of27℃, relative humidity of80%and succeed infinding the working state of the thermoelectric dehumidifier system.And it could providecertain guidance for the design and utilization of the thermoelectric dehumidifier.
