Performance testing devices of mechanical seals are applied on testing the performances ofmechanical seals and other rotating dynamic seals. In addition, the devices are also used to testseal products and simulate the ifeld conditions. Because of little domestic researches onhigh-parameter and large shaft (120mm)mechanical seal testing devices, the present study, usingvirtual prototype technology, developed a performance testing device of mechanical seals formulti-conditions, such as high speed, high pressure, large diameter, large torque and large power.With Creo Parametric for3D design,this research successfully completed the virtualdesign of the testing device according to the requirements. The present thesis expounds thedesign process, type selection and assembly of components.Besides, ANSYS Workbench14.0isutilized for numerical analysis of the structure and dynamics of the drive shaft, focusing onmodal analysis of the shaft deformation, for getting the inherent frequency and rotation speedrange of the shaft, so as to present from the resonance due to reaching the limited speed.Based on modern general mechanical seal design,the author developed a high-parametermechanical seal applied on large shaft, studied the effects of seal end face parameters on themechanical seal performance, analyzed the structural, thermal and structural-thermaldeformations of the mechanical seal by ANSYS. And it has the results that the thermaldeformation is prominent due to the large conductive coefifcient when the rotary ring (hard ring)is experimented, While the stationary ring (soft ring) is in the experiment, the force-inducingdeformation takes the prominent position. Finally, improvement method is provided according tothese results.Meanwhile, according to the end face of the temperature ifeld and deformation ofmechanical seals,this article has been designed test system,by this way to determine the end faceof the test range of the temperature sensor and installation location.Besides, a new wirelesspressure sensor was developed for directly testing the torque of mechanical seal faces, avoidingthe inlfuence of the bearing frictional torque.
