Concrete skew plate bridge is the most common structure used in highway. With the timeincreased, the disease of the concrete skew plate bridge is serious gradually. In order tounderstand the disease mechanism of concrete skews plate bridge and put forward thereasonable repair scheme, diseases and reinforcement method of the concrete skew platebridge are studied based on current study situation at home and abroad. In this paper, the maincontents, methods and conclusions are as follows:The main diseases of upper structure of concrete skew plate bridge are described amply,which can be classified three categories such as bridge deck pavement diseases, bridgeexpansion joint diseases and the hinge joint diseases based on the main distribution andcharacteristics of the disease. The failure mode and causes of the three kinds of commondiseases are analyzed.The main characters and influencing factors of concrete skew plate bridge are studiedand various calculation methods applicable to this structure are also analyzed. Finite elementanalysis software ANSYS is used to analyze the mechanical behavior of concrete skew platebridge. The comparison result shows that, the fracture trend and distribution in bottom plateare consistent with the actual situation of actual bridge.On the basis of the reinforcement methods of existing bridge, some reinforcementmethod features of carbon fiber and bonding steel plate reinforcement method such as themain characteristic, mechanism, quantity of carbon fiber or steel plate and its constructionprocess are analyzed according to the crack distribution of engineering example. The feasibleand effective of two reinforcement method above are verified at last in this paper.
