| International terrorism threatens to our country’s safety anytime.The dam hasbecame a key target,when it has significant ecomonic significance.Once the dam isunder attack,the consequences would be unimaginable.So it’s very necessary to studythe dynamic response of the dam under explosion shock loading,and it is alsonecessary to study the antiknock measures.Due to the gravity arch dam with the structural characteristics of the gravity damand arch dam, attention should be paid to the failure modes of concrete gravity archdams subjected to underwater explosion shock loading. This paper mainly analyzesthe dynamic response of the gravity arch dam subjected to underwater explosionshock loading.And the antiknock protective measures will be studied according to thefailure modes.The analysis of the dynamic response of the gravity arch dam subjected tounderwater explosion shock loading.Strain rate effect of concrete was taken intoconsideration in the establishment of gravity arch dam fully coupled model.Numerical simulation was conducted to study the dynamic failure process of the damwhen subjected to underwater explosion blast loading.The possible failure modes andcorresponding failure mechanism of gravity arch dam are discussed on the base ofstructural property and mechanical characteristic of the dam. It is found that gravityarch dam has both antiknock qualities of gravity dam and arch dam. The antiknockperformance of the upper part of the dam is very weak when the lower part is good atresisting the shock loading. Brittle punching at the central piers and damaged slidingat the abutment piers happen when the bomb explodes at the front of crown cantilever.When the bomb explodes at the location away from the right dam abutment one-fourarch ring, the dam abutment gets damaged, which makes heavy damage on thestability and safety of the gravity arch dam.The study of the antiknock protective measures. Aluminum foam was applied ongravity arch dam, Numerical simulation was taken to analyse the antiknock effect ofaluminum foam with different thickness and scope of pretection based on the failuremodes of the gravity arch dam.It shows that as the thickness of the aluminum foamincreases, the degree of damage of the dam is reduced at the same time,and the scopeof protection has little effection on the failure modes of the dam. |
