The article has a discussion of the response under seismic role for a high-risebuilding, including modeling and analysis. We use element of BEAM188andSHELL63to make the model for the structure. And we can analyse it after modeling,including linear analysis and nonlinear r analysis aiming at a high-rise building inTianjin.The article starts from the current research status of high-rise building seismicanalysis, accompany with structural model, the yield criterion, the flow rule, thehardening rule, and the way to solve nonlinear analysis. Combine with case studies,getting the result of the linear analysis and the nonlinear analysis and comparing thesimilarities and differences between them.We can find the changes of the mechanical property of the massive structurewhen concerning with material nonlinearity by comparing the results. Obviously canwe see both linear analysis and nonlinear analysis, the results of high frequencycomponents of seismic acceleration response spectrum decreased significantly, thelow frequency part became the main ingredient, the change of angle between thelayers of nonlinear and linear case in the same floor also illustrates the materialnonlinearity influence on the structure. That is, angle between layers increases withconsidering that the nonlinear of materials.
