| China’s high-speed railway construction has entered a high-speed developmentperiod. With several large passenger line opened up, China has entered the era ofhigh-speed rail economy. High-speed railway brings economic elements such asstream of people, logistics, information flow, cash flow at high speed. This provides agreat opportunity for the development of high-speed rail metro next to the high-speedrail site. High-speed rail station often becomes a new city development poles inhigh-speed rail site city. However, due to the high-speed economy rapid development,planning and construction of high-speed rail Metro is also a corresponding increase inspeed. Recent years, in high-speed rail planning and construction of Metro, Metrodevelopment homogenization has occurred, convergence city location, similarindustry choice, this has resulted in duplication of the Metro, the homogenization ofcompetition, which has brought the urban economy and Metro development risks.How to use urban planning tools to enhance the competitiveness of Metro City, allowsthe healthy and orderly development of Metro, is an important research direction inthe urban planning of high-speed rail Metro of planning practitioners.This paper tries to find a model to enhance the competitiveness of the city in theperspective of planners. First determine the relevant concepts, while in-depth study offoreign city development experience and lessons along the high-speed rail, identifycompetitive advantage factor from success stories. Then analyze the existing urbancompetitiveness theories and models, combined with the Five Forces mode l theory infield of economic management, propose useful Competitiveness Model for cityplanners.After discussing urban competitiveness models and theories, using Tengzhouhigh-speed rail Metro as an example, this paper attempts to use five forces modeltheory in urban planning. After a brief discuss on the basic situation of Tengzhouhigh-speed rail Metro, I go to analysis the usage of planning instruments in enhancingthe competitiveness of the city, from the five subjects, such as Suppliers, buyers,substitutes, existing competitors and new entrants. |
