With the progress and development of society and science，these factors like theexcess of population growth、the continuous decrease of city land availability、thequickening of urban living and working rhythm、the increase of floating population、natural disasters and soon，impact on the existing human survival way to make humanhave been thinking and searching the new model of residential and office space.Moreover，Global warming threatens the survival and development of the entirehuman race，60%carbon in the city emissions from architecture. In the low carbondevelopment road the entire world proposes，energy saving and low carbon ofarchitecture destined to be the only topics. In the process of exploring to reducecarbon emissions of building materials，the container architecture made of recycledsteel has become the new favorite of European and American architecture，with beingthe unique architectural form gradually. Not only container architecture could satisfypeople’s basic living needs，but adapt the development requirements of recyclingeconomy of conservation-minded society. It is new important means used to exploreto develop low carbon architecture，and also a new point architecture focuses on.From the perspective of architecture designer，this thesis collects and filtrates thetypical cases that appeared in container architecture history， summarizes thedevelopment history、current situation、general law of container architecture deeply，and analyzes the diversified characteristics of container architecture roundly. Withfield investigation、foreign experience and China’s national situation，this thesiselaborates the living condition and social response of domestic container architecture，and discusses the possibility of development and popularization of containerarchitecture in China in the future to explore the reason why the container architecturedevelops slowly interiorly.
