Study On The Containers Receiving And Delivering Problem And Countermeasure Research Of The Container Terminal

Port is a service industry,with the increasing of competition,service ability is directly related to attraction to shipping lines and customers,which can determine the container terminal moving forward or not in the fierce competition,and improve the efficiency of the delivering and receiving containers,reduce customer’s wait time,is one of the important indicators of container terminal.Moreover,with the upsizing of container ships and the emergence of shipping line alliances,the handling volume of a single ship can reach more than 10000 TEU.Meanwhile,the distribution of dense shipping services and the high utilization rate of container yards,all give higher and higher requirements to the service of container receiving and delivering of container terminals.At the same time,container terminal is restricted by a variety of conditions,utilizing limited container terminal’s resources to solve the problem of receiving and delivering has been extremely urgent in the container terminal.Basing on the above background,this article through analyzing container terminal’s prominent contradictions during operation,such as slowly on receiving and delivering,too many restow and yard shifting,yard conflicting of external trucks and internal trucks,find out the reason of restricting container terminal’s operation,and try to solve the above problems.For export containers receiving,take advantage of the regional characteristics of the port,considering the number of containers of each freight stations and the turnaround time,etc.,reasonably arrange the amount of trucks of each freight stations,so as to get the balanced and orderly results when the terminal is receiving export containers.For import containers,by the way of separating time and blocks to make an appointment,to achieve the result of workload balance.Starting from the source,the terminal shall make corresponding mechanical arrangements in advance to improve the efficiency of receiving and delivering containers,so as to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading and the overall service level of the terminal.our target is that container yard operation is in order,improve the quality of receiving containers,reduce yard restow,so as to improve the efficiency of vessel operation,enhance the service of container terminal.From studying this subject,through using and controlling the resources,to get the target of fully using equipment,fully using yards,improving efficiency,reducing cost,and get the target of improving terminal’s economic benefit,social benefit,meeting the demand of competition,it has very important significance to the container terminal.
