With the development of city power network cabling rate continues to improve, the cablefault has become an important factor affecting the reliability of power supply, and the risingtrend. Distribution cable hidden defects is a prelude to the failure, while the distribution cableis usually damaged insulation defects, partial discharge and temperature anomaly is insulationdamage common signs and appearances, two of which are independent of a certain link,partial discharge will cause the line core and an insulating layer temperature anomaly;long-term temperature anomaly will insulation aging and the occurrence of partial dischargeinduced.Because the cable laying and underground, through the traditional inspection difficult tofind its partial discharge and overheating hidden defects, leading to high rate of cable fault.Method for detecting the existing cable insulation for pressure test or shock wave test, but theneed to power outages, and requires a lot of manpower and material resources. On thedistribution cable condition monitoring purpose is to discover the hidden defects, to operationand maintenance personnel in the defect in the bud, can early be eliminated, so as to avoidpower failure and other accidents. Because the traditional inspection difficult to detect partialdischarge and high temperature of hidden defects, resulting in defects gradually deteriorated,eventually leading to line fault even with channel cable fire accidents. Condition monitoringcan be transferred to these hidden defects in the background through the advancedtechnological means, and issued a warning signal, maintenance personnel need not arrived atthe scene can master the operation of the equipment, greatly improving the defect disposalefficiency, save manpower, reduce the failure rate and the operation.Do a lot of research on the condition monitoring technology of power distribution cable,through the study of the occurrence and development mechanism of XLPE Power CablePartial Discharge and temperature anomalies, and the typical cable insulation partial dischargesignal and temperature characteristics of defect types corresponding to establish database, anddeveloped the monitoring and diagnosis system of computer, a set of multiple recognitionalgorithm based on the. The diagnosis system can through the acquisition of partial dischargesignals and temperature value of the defect discrimination, can achieve in the outage state ofcable insulation state real-time monitoring, can avoid the detection of insulation caused powercuts, reduce the manpower cost. In this paper, combined with ultra high voltage cablecondition monitoring of research results, from the two aspects of the distribution cable partialdischarge monitoring and temperature monitoring to elaborate research of on-line monitoring technology of power distribution cable, the characteristics of partial discharge signal analysis,the early foundation of insulation aging and temperature monitoring technology innovation, toachieve a breakthrough in technology of partial discharge signal recognition technology andtemperature monitoring combination. To provide a theoretical basis for the company to build acondition monitoring system of power distribution cable.
