With the rapid development of automobile industry in recent years,The automotive industry put forward the demand for more personalized,To stimulate the development of more car models. Has also led to the rapid development of automobile parts,so that Surge in demand for cross-axis. Cross-axis is the key pats of the structure of automotive transmission. It is also a car wearing parts and play the role of power transmission In the automotive steering knuckle with Bearing large and Complex shape. The product quality and precision is high. And it’s difficult to process. The traditional hot forging process needs big energy and has Large amount of follow-up Machining. Its Production costs are high and Lack of market competitiveness.In this paper,cold extrusion is introduced to form the cross-axis to enhance material utilization,reduce costs and improve product competitiveness.In this paper,based on the rigid plastic finite element theory,use numerical simulation method, Analysis and processing of the key technical problems for numerical simulation technology for radial cold extrusion of cross-axis. With the professional simulation software,Studied the metal filling rules for the process of the radial cold extrusion of cross-axis. An analysis of its forming process,such as:Velocity field,stress-strain field,temperature field,main factors for its qulity is made. Its forming load is predicted. Combined with orthogonal test method,Using multi-objective multi-variable optimization method of the cross-axis was optimized.The optimized results indicated that when the radius of Die entrance R=0.5mmDie friction factorβ1-β2-0.12and Extrusion speed V=10mm/s is preferred in forming,and its load is lower and its deformation is more uniform which was confirmed by specialized simulation software.It can provide a reference to mold design and technocopical optimization in cross-axis forming.
