Passenger ships usually carry large numbers of people, in case of a sea accident,great loss of property and massive personnel casualty is much likely to occur. Theevacuation calculation of the passenger ships is an extremely important content inship design. The traditional calculation is done manually, the evacuation calculationprocess is extremely complex and tedious, efficiency is very low. Special evacuationcalculation software is not perfect. AutoCAD is a main cartography tool in the shipsdesign institute, but general AutoCAD cannot satisfy the functional requirements ofthe evacuation calculation. Using CAD re-development tools to develop passengership evacuation calculation auxiliary tool is a small investment, quick, targetedresearch, which can improve the efficiency of evacuation calculation, also avoidnegligence.In this paper, complying with evacuation calculation requirement of the shipdesign institute, on the basis of full analyzing evacuation calculation knowledge andresearching CAD re-development technology, according to “Guidelines forevacuation analysis for new and existing passenger ships†published by IMO,combining design process of evacuation calculation, using VLISP technique andActiveX technology, the passenger ship evacuation calculation auxiliary tool basedon AutoCAD was developed. The tool greatly simplifies the process of shipevacuation calculation, significantly improves the evacuation calculation efficiencyand accuracy.The details of this paper are as follows:(1) This paper researches the principle ofship evacuation calculation and “guideline†published by IMO, analyzed theapplication in passenger ships, combined with the actual work processes, dividedproduction process of the evacuation calculation into different design stages;(2) Based on the skilled use of AtuoCAD, this paper researches the characteristics,general forms, basic process,development model and development tools;(3) Basedon the above, according to the actual work processes,this paper proposes an overalldesign ideas, establishes the overall frame model of the system, analyzes systemfunctional requirements;(4) In this paper, codes were programmed for variousfunctions of data amending module, evacuation calculation module and resultoutputing module respectively, using VLISP technique and ActiveX technology, withfriendly interactive interfaces.This tool was applied to evacuation calculation of2300P ro-ro passenger shipwhen development was completed. The effect is very good. And we obtainedclassification society’s approval. The result shows that the tool has the very strongpractical application value. |
