With the vigorous development of China’s career of rail transportation, railtransportation’s important position and role in economic and social development is more andmore outstanding. Rail transportation equipment manufacturing industry with high speedtrain and heavy haul train is also obtained the rapid development. The wheel as thelocomotive important moving parts is an important part of the locomotive and vehicle, and thequality of various types of wheel surface directly relates to the traffic safety. So wheel railrelationship accuracy requirements of wheel geometry parameters and the train safetymonitoring fields which is on the wheel geometry parameters measurement accuracy andefficiency requirements are also increasing.The paper takes the detection system of train wheel profile geometric parameters as thebasis, and the wheel measurement special automatic centering device which is a conicalrotating pre vibration rapid, multi parameter measurement was designed; The eccentric wheeland sensor, measurement of surface offset angle and wheel axis tilted single factor errormodel, four kinds error factors of two interactions and the comprehensive effect of errormodel were established, the results of these models were compared and analyzed.Corresponding compensation strategy was put forward for part of error factors. Uncertaintyanalysis was carried out to the tread of key measurement points. The GUI system of thedetection of key geometric parameters for the wheel profile error compensation analysiswhich is based on the analysis of man-machine interface was designed. Moreover, usingPro/E to set the three-dimensional geometric model, and the sampling simulation parametersand section sampling were established. The results show that the analysis of GUI errorcompensation interface result is in agreement with the set value.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) In view of the present situation of detecting wheel production enterprise’s actualdemand and the wheel profile geometric parameters, we carried out the massive collection,consultant and reference at home and abroad on the wheel detection of a series of researchresults. Master the current status of research on on-line detection wheel profile geometryparameters, mass rapid, multi parameter measurement.(2) Design the overall scheme of the system on the detection of key geometricparameters of wheel profile, especially in measuring link about the solution of the wheelcentering and improvements.(3) According to the detection of key geometric parameters of wheel profile analysis system, list many error factors impact on measuring error and classify the error factors,the eccentric wheel and sensor, measurement of surface offset angle and wheel axis tiltedsingle factor error model, four kinds error factors of two interactions and the comprehensiveeffect of error model were established, the results of these models were compared andanalyzed. Propose the compensation strategy for the part of error factors. Finally, carry on themeasurement system uncertainty analysis.(4) According to the system error analysis part, design the analysis of error compensationof the man-machine interface based on MATLAB GUI which enhances the systemcontrollability. Introduce the error analysis, data analysis, tread the wavelet toolbox signalprocessing parts respectively, and package all the files. Using Pro/E to set thethree-dimensional geometric model, and the sampling simulation parameters and sectionsampling were established.
