Wind energy is a kind of renewable energy, as the wind power industry in China has just started, the wind power industry related technology is still in its infancy, in the development of onlinemonitoring system is still in research stage, many technical problems haven’t solve, also can’tmature application in industry. And vibration monitoring system is one of the key technologies ofonline monitoring system, how to make the system to be able to timely and effective potential in thediscovery of equipment failure is very worth to study. The fault of wind power generator through the vibration data to judge, so thecomposition of online monitoring system mainly consists of acceleration sensor circuit, analog signal filter circuit, signal conditioning circuit, A/D conversion circuit, DSPsignal processing circuit and power supply circuit. Though a series of hardware circuitto the collected vibration signal acquiring, filtering, processing and so on, then transmitthe vibration signal to DSP to judge the specific fault, and provide a stable protectionfor wind power generator. The main control module use the TMS320F28335of TI Company, the DSPconsists of A/D integration module, enhanced CAN bus module, SCI port module andother peripheral circuit. The signal which has been processed through thecommunication protocol is passed to PC for display. After the data are transmitted to PC, the data analysis module uses the MATLABsoftware to process. Because the collected data is a kind of nonlinear and non-stationarysignals, and the traditional-time/frequency analysis method has certain limitations, hence, using a method: empirical mode decomposition (EMD), by the EMD processingand de-noising, we can get the fault characteristic value, to realize the fault diagnosis.
