Research On The Karst Cave Treatment Of The Highway Bridge Pile Foundation

Development and affection mechanisms of Karst are diversified; the engineeringgeological conditions are very complicated. That brings many disadvantages to the design,construction and operation of railway engineering. This dissertation, backed on the pilefoundation of Hutuo-3Big Bridge, very deeply studies Karst and engineering geologicalsurvey, the stability of Karst cave and the characteristics of pile foundation in the Karstregion, gives some new points of view for the design and construction of bridge pilefoundation in the Karst region, provides reliable theoretical basis and technical support tothe similar object kinds. The research topic is very important for the design andconstruction of the railway bridge pile foundation in the Karst region.In the first part of this dissertation, the basic principles of Karst science, including thebasis developing conditions, forms and sorts, the causes and sorts of Karst cave, werestudied, perniciousness and its treatments of Karst water and Karst cave to the object weredeeply discussed.Secondly, the research results on the engineering geological survey, the survey of thegeological Radar, and the recovery of in situ excavation in the Karst region of the pilefoundation of Hutuo-3Big Bridge were detailed studied, a treatment program of the Karstregion of the pile foundation of Hutuo-3Big Bridge was suggested, the pile loadingcapacity of the revised design was calculated. And finally, the preliminary treatment resultsof the Karst region of the pile foundation of the Hutuo-3Big Bridge were estimated.
