Energy dissipated devices, with Shape Memory Alloy (Shape Memory Alloy, SMA)as the main material, are widely noted by domestic and foreign scholars.However, thereare some shortcomings in the development of passive damper and structure vibrationanalysis, optimization design, etc.Based on this background, this paper mainly includesthe following several aspects:(1)An innovative SMA-friction damper is introduced. Based on hysteresis curve from thecyclic loading experiment and OpenSees platform, the multilinear constitutive model oftwo materials is developed. Theory model of the damper is set up, and the mechanicalproperties of the damper are numerically simulated.(2)Take5-story steel frame model of building for example, the numerical analysis ofSMA-friction damper on symmetric damping structure under the effect of seismic timehistory response is carried on to study the structural damping effect under different damperparameters:Under the action of minor earthquakes, the work of SMA unit combine theenergy consumption and the ability to reset.Reduce initial length of the SMA wire, whileincrease its cross-sectional area is an effective measure to increase structural dampingeffect.Under strong earthquakes by friction unit, the damping effect of damper highlydepends on sliding displacement of friction plate and maximum friction, and with thedecrease of the sliding displacement and with the rising of maximum friction,the seismicreduction effect increases.(3)Take3-story steel frame model of building for example, the numerical analysis ofSMA-friction damper on eccentric structure under the effect of seismic time historyresponse is carried on. Thus it can be seen that dampers control well on thetranslation-torsion coupled vibration of the structure, but under the effect of differentseismic wave, the vibration control effect of the damping structure is different. For example,under the small earthquakes, structure passive control effect of EI Centro wave is best.Under strong earthquakes, structure passive control effect of Tianjin wave is best.(4)A better design for the position of SMA-friction composite damper in the symmetry andeccentric structure is carried on. Under the condition of same damper quantity, the layout of each layer has great influence on seismic reduction effect of symmetric structure. Forexample, adding dampers on every few layers has best effect on the vibration control of thedamping structure. However, the layers should not be overmany otherwise it requiresadding dampers to maintain the seismic reduction effect. Under the condition of samedamper quantity in each layer, the layout of structure has best effect on the seismicreduction effect of translation-torsion coupled vibration of the structure. Try to add damperson the surrounding of the structure, and make it symmetric.
