Nowadays since the rapid process of urbanization in China, rural construction boom has also happened.due to the lack of the theory and practice of design, a large number of rural construction often been done without wisdom,ecosystem and local characteristics, which has greatly damaged the rural style and feature.The research is based on real-time demand of rural construction, taking the rural residence(with the garden) as the research object, which is composed of building and its walls of residential space. The research is to find its composition, structure, aggregation and growth rule and to analyze the essence of rural residential and living environment.This research is a multidisciplinary penetration study of complex systems,which use the analysis method of the prototype theory, cytoarchitecture, passive technology and opology morphology.In that way, Research established by——cell function prototype+cavity space+composite interface+landscape limited,as the compound system of rural basic unit study. The research use the prototype+menu+practice research approaches.in order to get the prototype and menu of residential with universal significance.Firstly, according to the needs of the rural life and the requirement of low carbon oriented design, combined with the analysis of many practical cases, the research has established a universal common topology prototypes.Secondly according to the diversity of development factors, prediction and design the visual design "menu".Finally, practice demonstration of menu, information feedback, design added. by rural construction projects.The research is still in the early stage,which is to understand of the residential building and to conclude the space form of design prototype and the menu,with a low carbon concept, in the form of an open method.Hope that this research can provide reference for the low carbon rural residential environment construction.
