In today’s green building background, energy-efficient design of the building getsmore and more social cognition and attention. According to statistics, more than50%materials obtained by human from the nature are used to build all kinds of buildings andancillary facilities, these buildings consume about50%of global energy in the processof construction and use; while China’s economy is in rapid development, the demandand consumption of resource and energy are huge, therefore more attention should bepaid to the conservation of energy and resource and protection of environment, andadhere to the path of sustainable development, the pursuit of green building design.Reasonable energy-efficient building design should be good response and use onthe various climate factors (wind, light, heat, etc.) and geographical environment(topography, etc.). However, due to the variability of climatic factors and complexity ofcontemporary architecture, the architect is difficult to use traditional design methodsand tools to control the relationships between them. But energy efficiency design basedon BIM technology can solve these problems. BIM technology with integration of anumber of architectural information achieves a good point, giving designers agood-aided design tool. BIM technology allows architects to have an intuitiveknowledge of multi-disciplinary knowledge while involved in the architectural designphase with passive building energy efficiency design, to avoid repeating modeling in thesame scenario simulation analysis, and also increase exchanges between relevantprofessional, in order to put more focus on the rational design of building programs toachieve green energy-saving design."BIM software platform---data formats---professional analysis software"forms the basic processes of BIM technology aidedarchitectural design. By creating a building information model by BIM modelingsoftware, the architect can do related performance simulation analysis anytime, andget intuitive and accurate analysis results to assist architects understanding theperformance of the program and further optimization and adjustment. This paper isbased on the above angle of design thinking, design process, to make a study on passivebuilding energy design.This paper mainly based on BIM technology theory, discusses the passiveenergy-saving design methods assisted by the BIM technology of construction planningand single building. Above all, it describes the design principles, strategies based on the auxiliary passive BIM technology, first, the general design of program planning layout,general arrangement after the start of the architectural form of passive design,combination of volume scrutiny, the second is to design building opening, whichincludes natural ventilation lighting simulation analysis and optimization, and canauxiliary architectural features such as layout plan and profile optimization, addition isaided design buildings of architectural opening set shade passive energy efficient designand optimization choice to the material of maintain structure. In each section, it hasdepth discussion of BIM technical assistance with specific cases for variousenvironments, to confirm the feasibility of this method.Finally, it takes the Chongqing second intermediate people’s court buildingexpansion project as an example, to study the practice use of energy-saving passivebuilding design based on BIM technology in the construction project phase. The keyproblems to be solved and the goal of building design process of BIM technology aresummarized, and clear the issues in the design of the project which need to pay specialattention to. The passive energy-saving design based on BIM technology-assistedshould follow multi-stage multi-program design principles in the design process. In thestage of planning the layout, a comprehensive analysis of the overall best towards of thelocal different climate factors has been done, and then through the comparative casestudies, choose the towards layout after comprehensive consideration,and also clear thelacking of selected system, in the subsequent design can be solved with focus. Withthe same way it makes aided design of architectural form, natural ventilation andlighting, shading and passive maintenance performance choice of structural materials.Through the practice of the BIM technology combined with actual cases, the designmethod of BIM aided passive based on building energy conservation has feasibility, andit is indeed a great help for architects in passive energy efficiency design.
