In China, Tall buildings develop rapidly, meanwhile more and more earthquakes happened. In this Paper, Performance-based seismic design method is used to design a specific high-rise building, which is also designed by Chinese seismic design. PUSHOVER analysis based EPDA is used to evaluate the capacity of the structure. The main work of this paper includes the following aspects.1. A research summary about the elastic-plastic analysis of building structure is given.2. Response spectrum analysis and Elastic time history analysis are used to perform Seismic design based Chinese code.3. PUSHOVER analysis is used to evaluate seismic capacity of the specific building and obtain the capacity spectrum, and elastic-plastic mechanical behaviors.
