With the rapid development of modern industry, reactive power compensation attracts more and more people’s attention. It reduces line losses and reduce power plant capacity, improve power factor and voltage stability of power supply equipment and other aspects of power system plays to crucial role. In the grid, inductive load equipment installed near shunt capacitor device can effectively reduce the reactive power flow. The core of the design is the power factor correction controller of the device, its operation principle is: When the voltage is in the acceptable range, in order to improve the power factor, for the purpose of reducing power consumption when the voltage is too high, the input capacitance removal, to protect the capacitor from damage.After analyzing the compensation effect of existing power factor correction controller design of a microprocessor controlled by four groups of the capacitor bank, automatic control to compensate for switching power factor compensation controller. It is based on C8051 F MCU core, can be detected cosj automatically by the control circuit power grid minimum power factor 0cosj, and national standards for electrical equipment needed because values were compared within the allowable error range of Dcosj automatic control of switched capacitor power factor compensation, so that the power factor is kept within a certain operating range. Feasible parameter set by the panel comes with buttons that can display real-time voltage, current, active power, reactive power and power factor value, users can set the power factor, the lower limit, over-voltage and other parameters as needed. Also the PC power factor can be monitored in real-time.
