With the improving of life quality, people increasingly looking into the comfort and safety of home environment, along with the concept of smart home become the focus. Actually, smart home system integrated computer technology, automatic control technology, network communication technology on the basis of home environment and connect the various household devices with barrier-free docking and real-time operation so that achieve efficiently and conveniently management of home affairs. More importantly, the rapid development of mobile communication technology and automatic control technology have provided surging power and broad stage for smart home industry. The Android operating system has attracted most developers and users for its openness and easy-operating around the world.This paper is based on Google’s Android platform, designed and implemented smart home control system which faced to WiFi condition. This system improved some sick points of traditional smart home system, like complicated wiring, inconvenience, hard promote. The specific content of this paper is as follows:Firstly, briefly introduced the smart home and its current R&D situation around the world, provided the research background, significance. Then, concluded Android-developed advantages after introduced Android system’s related knowledge and compared WiFi with other wireless communication technology.After that, the paper analyzed the design of the system based on functional requirements and formulated modular design of this Android-based smart home control system. Then, divided the system into three part:UI interface, WiFi communication, central control and discussed them separately.At last, analyzed and implemented this three module according to design plan. It’s mainly included overall architecture and software implementation of UI interface, data encoding of WiFi module and communication implementation based TCP protocol, hardware design and controlling software writing of central control module.Through repeated tests after installed the client software, the system could realized WiFi-faced electric equipment remote control and let the users be able to master the household environment timely. This system could be installed and promoted on Android system and is convenient, easy-operated, high-valued.
