With the continuous progress of science and technology, constantly high smart phone penetration and national information technology continues to accelerate, these changed people's living habits and quality completely. People updated for the concept of home constantly, no longer satisfied with just a comfortable stay home. More people require a safe, convenient, comfortable and controlled smart home environment. Smart Home develop to the direction of intelligent, wireless and smart phones to control, is to meet the requirements of living in the smart home has become the key to happiness of life.Under these new backgrounds, we study the smart home system based on Android and FPGA control. The system uses wifi communication technology to form a wireless communication network, to meet the requirements of wireless network control. Android smartphones as a control terminal to meet the requirements of smart phone control. FPGA as a hardware control center has been put together to meet the requirements of getting the electrical appliances and sensor devices together, and these devices are controlled of concentrated and effective.This thesis gives the specific design and implementation of the smart home system. After analyzing the functional requirements of the system, it detailed describes the background, network communication technology, the overall design, FPGA design, Android software design and practical test and so on. The Smart Home system consists of smart phones, WIFI communication and FPGA. It realized of the mobile phone and wireless remote control LED lighting functions such as switching, dimming and constant illuminance control function specificly. We study the PWM duty cycle dimming, incremental PID algorithm in constant illumination applications. It can reach the illuminance values set by the user quickly, accurately and stably. The function of controlling electrical home appliances controlled mainly of home appliances with infrared control functions such as TV, air conditioning and water heater. The function of controlling the temperatur is the real-time acquisition of indoor temperature, mobile phone display temperature and at the same time sent to FPGA compared with user temperature set point, to control air conditioning corresponding action to implement the intelligent temperature control temperature. The function of curtain control is to switch the curtain with motor through the mobile phone. Security alarm monitoring function by pyroelectric infrared detection module monitors whether anyone through the doors and windows. If someone passed on, it alarmed like analog alarm sound and send alarm information through the network to the user's phone. These functions provide a rich experience for users of smart home system.In the process of implementation of the system, the Android APP development using the Goggle company Android Studio integrated development environment and Java programming language. FPGA development using the Quartus II integrated development environment, the former Modelsim simulation tool simulation and VHDL hardware description language programming. The final run, verification platform selected Altera's integrated development board. The system runs stably and correctly, and with a strong compatibility, low cost and high promotion value, etc. The phone APP operated simplly and conveniently, and the design result has reached the expected goal.
