With the more and more widely applications in engineering, now the technique of adding stories has the main stage of the building renovation. But there are so many question become by using this method, along with the change of Integral stiffness, damping and period, quality, the vertical stiffness irregular will cone into the structure, adversely affect the seismic performance of structure,so we should consider the whole building structure anti-seismic reinforcement.The traditional method of storey adding transformation is mainly directed against the primary structure building, Increasing the section size of the original structure member, This paper will introduce a new Combined shock method—the mid-story isolation structure with shock absorbers, discussions for the seismic performance of the system. There is a 5 layer of reinforced concrete structure, a 3layer of light steel structure on it., preliminary discussed the possibility of a mid-story isolation structure with shock absorbers structures to the additional layer reconstruction of old buildings, do seismic analysis of structure by MIDAS/GEN. The main work follows:(1) First,make the finite element analysis of the structure without measures.Second the cases of fifth story top isolated;And on the basis of the top five layer isolation, in the lower part of structure with viscous dampers for the mid-story isolation structure carries on finite element analysis, it is concluded that the natural vibration period of structure, acceleration, interlayer shear force and displacement between the layers. It was shown that the mid-story isolation structure can improve the damping effect of the structure, and based on the case of the top of the first story isolated, adding shock absorbers on substructure can improve seismic reduction effectiveness.(2) Discusses the sluggish attenuator the different form and the scheme of arrangement to the steel structure superimposed layer earthquake resistance performance influence, Form a reasonable damper, Viscous damping will play its full role in floor effectively reduce the seismic response. Give the Viscous damping arrangement rules.(3) The effect of the number of adding storeys for the seismic performanceof the structure. Weak positions of the structure may be influenced by the number of adding storey. And Dampers placed in the weak position of the best structure of energy dissipation effect. In practical engineering in the future, need to judge the weak position of the structure of the re arrangement of damper.The results of the study offers reference on the Seismic reinforcementof adding storey for application.
