Dry-tailing stacking is a kind of safe and economical way of storing tailings,which has essential difference with traditional wet stack.The current specification for tailings facilities design has a very general requirements on Dry-tailing stacking. On one hand,dry-tailing stacking used design standards referring to the stander of wet stack,so it can’t play its economic advantage fully。On the other hand,the ignorance of the flood conditions in the stability calculation of dry-tailing stacking leads obvious potential safety hazard.Recent years dry-tailing stacking develops quickly in southern areas,and the rainfall infiltration leading to surface adversely will has bad affect on its stability.By means of numerical simulation, this paper analyzed stability of Dry-tailing stacking under the condition of rainfall infiltration.The research showed that a single rainfall infiltration decreased safety coefficient by 20%-25%, and eventually led to the damage on tailing dam surface.The physical and mechanical properties of dry backfilling decreased with the increase of moisture content.Two kinds of quantitative calculation methods on ainfall an d infiltration quantity were put forward by studying the rainfall infiltration regular,with one based on the underlying surface water infiltration capacity,another based on runoff yield parameters.By researching the distribution regular of the ooze water,the rainfall infiltration process was divided into two phases: the phase of saturated propulsion and steady-state distribution phase,and the corresponding calculation methods of infiltration depth were put forward. After analyzing stability with the help of numerical simulation,a set of dry-tailing stacking stability calculation model under rainfall condition was put forward,by the order of amount of rainfall, infiltration, infiltration depth and safety coefficien,making up for the lack in specification.On the conclusion of numerical simulation,this paper discussed the ways to raise the capacity of dry tailing:if we want to heighten capacity,the bearing capacity of foundation demands to be higher,if we want to change slope expansion,the slope ratio can be added to 1:2. 3.
