Research On Space Planning Of Heritage Corridors In Pingjiang

This paper takes the research background of keeping the city culture special features, introduces heritage corridor, which contains multidisciplinary work, especially urban planning. It analyzes foreign and domestic cases, in basic concepts and correlation theory, aiming to find out the room for improvement and planning ideas, which is appropriate to Chinas needs.On this basis, this article attempts to establish a better heritage corridor creation method, from two aspects including urban planning and landscape architecture. Takes Pingjiang as example, by surveying and collecting the material and data, this article combines ecological landscape and historical culture, constructs wide variety of spatial structure and form.The paper has applied analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to analyze the heritage resources in Pingjiang. First, according to locally available cultural routes, the themes of heritage corridor have be defined. Secondly, based on investigation in the spot and literature index, this article sums up the quantity of heritage sites in Pingjiang. Then, evaluates heritage resources according to AHP rules, establishs the hierarchy structure, judgments matrix. Finally finds out culturally appropriate heritage sites to build heritage corridors.Based on heritage corridors, combined with the abundant ecological vegetation resources, this article constructs the spatial structure of green space system in the region. The planning discussed the heritage corridors green space at region and town levels. Then based on foundation and condition in Pingjiang, it studies on the strategies of classify protection, traffic planning and management system planning, hoping to utilize and preserve the heritage corridors.The article studies heritage corridors from space construction and protection planning. And makes better connections between tangible (i.e. cultural heritage, green landscape) and intangible (i.e. history, city image), hopes that this study is meaningful to urban heritage conservation and landscape planning.
