With the continuous growth of highway traffic mileages and vehicles ownership,safety problems have became more and more serious. In order to prevent and reduce road accidents, vehicle safety warning technology has attracted wide attention, and became a research hot spot and technological frontier in the field of vehicle active safety.Because of the complexity of roads in the mountain area, the main routes are corners and ramps. Those result them as the black spots. Therefore, driving safety pre-warning system of vehicle running on mountain road based on vehicle-road collaboration is studied, which meets the requirement of making the driver keep abreast of the vehicle running status and take an appropriate driving operation to insure safety. Meanwhile, it has theory significance and application value to solve related traffic problems.Combining with the National Natural Science Foundation project "Research on traffic safety identification theory of complex mountain road based on the driver-vehicle-road coordination"(Grant No.:51278514) and Chongqing Municipal Science and Technology research project "State insurance identification of vehicle lateral driving behavior and research on the active safety control of driver-vehicle interact"(Grant No.:cstc2014jcyj A6007), the driving safety pre-warning mode based on vehicle-road collaboration is studied. According to research status at home and abroad,driving safety pre-warning system of vehicle is designed. The main research works include the following aspects:1.A comprehensive scoring model of vehicle safety degree for mountain road is constructed. The affecting factors of vehicle driving safety such as driver, vehicles,roads, environment are considered. Then, a comprehensive scoring model of vehicle safety degree for mountain road is constructed based on least squares weights method and AHP.2.The driving safety pre-warning model of vehicle for mountain road based on vehicle-road collaboration is built. The critical speed calculation model based on vehicle dynamics are combined into safety degree evaluation model by the safety factor k.Finally, the driving safety pre-warning model of vehicle for mountain road based on vehicle-road collaboration is built. The critical safety speed is calculated which do not occur roller and side-slip for different drivers, vehicles and traffic and road conditions.It can achieve real-time monitor to vehicle. Meanwhile, the relationships between the safety speed and curve radius is discussed.3.Aiming to estimate the curve curvature accurately, a estimation method is proposed based on machine vision. Road image is pre-processed. The lane line of curve image is extracted with region growing method based on regional segmentation theory.The curve curvature is calculated with the lane reconstruction. The results show that the method can analyze curve curvature qualitatively and give quantitative estimate rapidly.4.The driving safety pre-warning system of vehicle based on vehicle-road collaboration is given under virtual instrument platform. System includes a front panel(HCI) and block diagram. The software program can achieve functions such as information input, safety driving speed calculation, monitoring and pre-warning.Simulation results show that the system can warm the state of vehicle accurately.Further more, it has significant social contribution and application value to prevent traffic accident.
