Simulation And Optimization Of Hook-lift Self-loading Truck’s Hook-lift Mechanism

As the developing of the economy, society and population, the amount of garbage is increasing at same time. The situation of dealing with garbage is becoming increasingly grim. Sanitation is closely linked with our daily lives, efficient and clean of garbage transportation is an important part of sanitation. Therefore, an efficiency and clean garbage truck is essential.The hook-lift self-loading dump truck would meet the requirements above, the garbage cabin loading-unloading and garbage dumping can be completed efficiently and independently. In this research, we completed the simulation of the hook-lift mechanism to analyze its mechanical properties, and modified some of the components.This paper introduced the structure composition and working principle of the hook-lift self-lording dump truck’s main mechanism, then we built 3D solid model in Unigraphis, after that we imported the model into ADAMS. We used ADAMS to build virtual prototype including both mechanical and hydraulic parts. Then we got Kinematics and Dynamics characteristic curve of the virtual prototype from the simulation of the mechanism’s three kinds of working condition. Then the data could be used in the ANSYS for the FEA analyzing. We got the stress and strain distribution of the three kinds of working condition from the analyzing of the ANSYS. Then we modified the model to prevented concentration of stress, and improve mechanical properties of the components。In this paper, we used the computers to establish a virtual prototype and run a simulation, compared to the physical prototype in product developing, the period of development had been greatly shortened, the speed of developing had also been greatly reduced.
