As is known to us all, the earthquake is a great natural disasters, which often causes the heavy property loss and personal injury. Improving the safety performance of the structure under earthquake plays a vital role in reducing the calamity of earthquake brings to human society. So far building structure has developed a variety of seismic structure system, enhanced the seismic capacity of the structure. Rocking and self-centering structure is a new type of structural system, seismic performance-related research has made many achievements. This paper carrys out the study of seismic dynamic analysis of small size rocking and self-centering steel frame structure.In this paper, considering the laboratory equipment condition and materials and model processing and other factors, three-layer steelframe structure model is designed, and shaking table tests on the WS-Z30-50 small precision vibration table are conducted with input of One-way horizontal EI-centro and Wenchuan earthquake wave in different peak acceleration. The structural acceleration response, displacement response and stress response of the experimental results are obtained, and the results were compared with the seismic response of the traditional steel structure.On the basis of shaking table tests, the three-dimensional finite element model for this research is presented, dynamic time history analysis was carried out by the software SAP2000.The key parameters of the material, thecross-section, the boundary conditions, the earthquake load condition of the finite element model were defined based on the experimental model and the experimental conditions verify the validity of the model and the rationality of the parameters, and the results indicate that the proposed models will be of a certain reference for seismic analysis of rocking and self-centering steelframe structure.Results of this study can provide some help and reference for better research on the rocking and self-centering steel frame structure.
