The rocking wall frame structure is a new structure system,which combines framewith rocking wall. The rocking wall frame has satisfactory seismic performances.Rocking walls are specially-detailed structural walls with finite rotating capacity at thebase. Thanks to the rocking wall,The failure mechanism of this structure is overallyielding mechanism instead of story yielding mechanism when it gets damaged. Therocking wall frame has strong robusticity and play the enemy dissipation capacity of thebuilding. Adding damper increase the enemy dissipation capacity of the building.Based on the shaking table test of the rocking wall frame structure model with thespecially connection joint and controllable rocking device, the working Performance ofthe controllable rocking is test. The seismic performances of the rocking wall framestructure and the frame were compared through the story drift angle analysis. Resultsshow that: the connection joint of frame and rocking wall can significantly delivehorizontal force produce vertical deformation. Controllable rocking device arespecially-detailed structural walls with plane finite rotating capacity with damping atthe base. The first story drift can also be effectively controlled by The rocking wallframe structure.
