Embassy Building Research In Chongqing During The Anti-Japanese War

Influenced by eclecticism, Chongqing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War is a special building in a special time, which make it own the distinct characteristics of that Times, and represent the higher level of Chongqing construction during the Anti-Japanese War.Embassy building in Chongqing War period is important symbol showing Wartime political, military status upgrade, which reveals the cultural characteristics of Chongqing. However, with the construction of the city, many historical sites have been destroyed, at the same time architectural style has gradually become similar. What is more serious,the recent decade because of the large number of "urban renewal", many of them have disappeared,which amount more than 30 embassies and legation established during the war. In this paper, by the way of field investigation and analysis of the morphological characteristics,we had been researched the existing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War, which provide the protection and inheritance of the embassy building with the reference,which has the strong era and the regional characteristic.To research the Anti-Japanese War embassy building is a way that enrich the Chongqing construction research theory system during the Anti-Japanese War,which will provide the regional architecture design of Chongqing with reference, find orientation on inheriting the architectural context, and awakens the path "memory of Chongqing". This article consists of four chapters:The first chapter:introduction. First, describe the anti-Japanese period of Chongqing embassy building research background and significance, and come up with an idea of this issue with illustrating the related concepts and define, and connecting with the domestic and foreign research present situation.The second chapter:overview of Chongqing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War. Through field survey, data collection, it analyze of the nature, society, culture of Chongqing, which are the influencing factors on formation of the building during the Anti-Japanese War。What is more, it overview of the peculiarity of Chongqing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War, at the same time it indicate that it is because of the above factors which contributed to the wartime characteristics of Chongqing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War, consequently classify and compare the Anti-Japanese War reconstruction during the Anti-Japanese War to the embassy with the new embassy.The third chapter:features of Chongqing embassy building during the Anti-Japanese War.
