With the rapid development of China’s high-speed railway, the electrification of the railway has been greatly improved, and the proportion of the all-calble power throught line of the railway became increasingly high. But in the actual operation is found that the capacitive current to ground of the all-cable through line is larger, and the approach of the traditional overhead power lines is not able to meet the requirements, so the reactive power compensation is needed for the all-cable lines.Firstly, the structure and the related parameters of the cable were introduced in the thesis, then gives the common modeling for the power cable, and give the modeling for the have been measured power through lines, and abstract a typical system model. The scheme of the reactive power compensation was tested based on the typical system model, and compared the advantages and disadvantages of each reactive power compensation scheme, fine obtained a most suitable scheme for the typical system model.In this thesis, the lines minimum residual current algorithm and the prevent re-burn algorithm by proposed in the shunt reactors reactive power compensation scheme, by test to obtained, the prevent re-burn algorithm is more appropriate for the typical system model that have tested. In the case of full lOkV cable through line, because the single-phase ground current is large, the arc current is not self-extinguished, so the single-phase ground fault will expand, so it should adopt the through low resistance grounding system, and remove the fault by the protection equipment, to achieve the effect that electric arc of the single-phase ground fault is extinguished.By the analysis to the typical system, for the long distance all-calble power throught line, in the case of the capacitor current is large (more than 10A), prefer using the low resistance grounding system, and adopt the distributed parallel reactor compensate the reactive power, it can save the investment, and the maintenance is relatively simple.
