With the rapid development of electrified railway and urban rail transit in China, quality of pantograph catenary current collection has become one of the key technical problems of the safe and efficient operation of the train. The good contact between the pantograph and catenary system is a prerequisite for good quality of current collection. The pantograph-catenary arc is a direct manifestation of catenary pantograph contact quality. And the EN50317:2002 indicates:pantograph-catenary arc is an important index to evaluate the performance of the pantograph catenary. However, due to the limitation of technology, both at home and abroad on the pantograph-catenary arc detection and related research started late, lacking of complete theoretical basis. Therefore, the research on pantograph catenary arc line for safety assessment and maintenance is very important, which has practical significance.Through the extraction and analysis of the catenary arc spectrum, the thesis develop a pantograph-catenary arc detection system based on (250±10) nm ultraviolet light and composed of the optical imaging module, ultraviolet light sensing module, data analysis and processing module and auxiliary detection module. The system can realize online detection about pantograph-catenary arc, getting some detection information, such as arc rate, arcing temperature and train operating parameters.On the basis of the pantograph-catenary arc detection system, the thesis had deeply studied the pantograph-catenary arc energy detection. First, the concept of spectral irradiance responsivity introduced to pantograph-catenary arc detection field. The thesis proposed an arc energy calibration method based on spectral irradiance responsivity, and the calibration process combined uncertainty was 3.9%. Then, through experimental measurement, the minimum power density of pantograph catenary arc detection system had been obtained. The system has high sensitivity, and can accurately detect the pantograph catenary arc. Finally, through the DC pantograph catenary arc simulation test device, the thesis explored the relationship of arc energy and ultraviolet energy of the pantograph-catenary arc detection system from the experimental angle, getting the linear relationship between the two. These provided a theoretical basis for the pantograph catenary arc energy as the current collection quality evaluation index.The pantograph-catenary arc detection system had completed field test and data collection of Guangzhou metro line two or three. For metro DC traction current characteristics, empirical mode decomposition and improved wavelet packet singular entropy algorithm is proposed in this thesis. The algorithm is used for processing analysis of arc traction current and traction current disturbance degree index F is given. According to the Guangzhou Metro field test data, analysis results showed that:improved wavelet packet singular entropy can be intuitive and effective extraction of traction current disturbance characteristics. Disturbance index F can effectively reflect the disturbance degree of traction current, evaluating the quality of locomotive current collection. Finally, this thesis summarizes the proposed algorithm steps of used to evaluate the quality of the pantograph catenary current collection, providing reference for the improvement of quality evaluation system for the pantograph catenary current collection.
