In electrified railways, current collection results from sliding contact between the moving pantograph and the overhead contact wire.With the running speed increasing, the pantograph lose contacting the overhead contact wire more frequently, which can cause arcing phenomena, pantograph-catenary arcing can reflect the pros and cons of pantograph-catenary current collection, in extent.pantograph-catenary arcing occurs instantaneously accompanied by large amounts of energy conversion, resulting pantograph electrical system, especially the pantograph erosion, even more serious burned the catenary equipment, and even caused the substation to trip, threatened traffic safety.Therefore, Realization the pantograph-catenary arcing online monitoring, positioning and maintaining pantograph weak point is important for the protection of traffic security.Firstly, measuring the minimum power density of the UVM non-contact pantograph-catenary arcing detection device with experimental methods. Building a set of simple pantograph-catenary arcing occurs devices, simulation arcing occurs AC and DC arcing, analysising the influence bettwen arc energy and voltage amplitude, The results showed that arc energy and voltage amplitude is positive correlation, DC arcing energy is larger than AC arcing energy under the same conditions.the AC arcing current frequency domain characteristics showed that harmonic component is3times harmonic,based on the simulink experimental platform.experiment measured the actual energy DC arcing and the250±l0nm bands UV characteristic energy in DC arcing curve,realized the detection on DC arcing energy. changing the polarity of the output voltage of DC, test the influence of the polarity on the arcing rates, when contact line is anode,the arcing energy is larger.According to EN50317, statistics of Guangzhou Metro detect arcing rate, obtained by comparative analysis of the factors affecting the speed of the rate of arcing. extracted more than500time metro arcing occurs detection parameters, the results showed that the traction current amplitude is regardless of arcing energy.Finally, based on the theory of wavelet multi-resolution analysis, analysised the level of traction current disturbance while pantograph-catenary arcing occurred moments, and regarded it as quantified pantograph quality indicators as a basis for determining the weak points and so as a basis for quantifying pantograph quality indicators, as determined by the flow of current collection weak points.Analysised the Guangzhou Metro Ⅱ, Line500times arcing test data and put forward arcing energy, duration and extent of the disturbance traction current curve, which solved the excessive positioned the arcing occurs point problem.
