Design Of The Portable Relay Protection Maintenance Software Based On Android Platform

The safe operation of the electric power system is the basis for national economic development, relay protection device is an important component of electric power system and one of the important technical measure which ensures the electric power system security and reliable operation. As the monitor background of relay protection device, the corresponding softwares of relay protection device are mostly based on the computer system. At present, the whole process of relay protection debugging needs people’s cooperation, this often increases the complexity of the debugging work and reduces the working efficiency as a result of the limitation of the computer’s portable performance. This condition will improve greatly if the partial function of relay protection device maintenance software can be migrated to a more convenient handheld terminal. Therefore, it is of practical value to design a relay protection device maintenance software based on handheld terminal.Firstly, this thesis does a in-depth research of the present situation of relay protection device, and gives a brief introduction of traction substation automation system and the information exchange approach belongs to process layer and spacer layer within traction substation--- IEC60870-5-103 network transmission protocol. Aiming at relay protection device debugging and problems in routine inspection of substation running equipment, this thesis carries on the demand analysis of portable relay protection maintenance software and comparison analysis based on the operating system.Secondly, according to the demand analysis of portable relay protection maintenance software, combined with characteristics of Android operating system, this thesis proposes a overall design of the portable relay protection maintenance software based on Android platform. Focusing on aspects of the network data communication layer, network data analysis layer, user interaction layer and applications layer, etc. of maintenance software, this thesis researches and analyses on functional framework and technology selection of portable relay protection maintenance software by using hierarchical design concept.Then, it elaborates realization of the portable relay protection maintenance software based on Android platform from the network data communication layer, network data analysis layer, user interaction layer and application layer, including specific ways to implement some key technologies such as startup interface, connection device interface, sending module, receiving module, Socket communications module, device monitoring function module, setting management function module and reporting function module, etc.Finally, this thesis builds real test machine environment, and tests functions on the network data communication layer, network data analysis layer, user interaction layer and applications layer, etc. of maintenance software. Besides, verifying correctness and real-time by contrasting real time data of relay protection device matching tools.
