With the rapid development of high-speed railway, traction transformers of 220KV and above have been widely used in China. As the most important equipment in the traction power supply system, the protection reliability of traction transformers directly affects the security and stability of the system. Once the protection of transformer fails, it could cause the railway outage or large economic losses. In this case, it will lead to large damage to the transformer. So the study of the protection of traction transformer is essential and quite important. At present, the domestic equipment related to the protection of ontology of traction transformer is in the stage of development, the research and development of equipment related to the protection of ontology of traction transformer with high reliability and high intelligent degree has great realistic meaning and broad market prospects.At first, this paper introduces the characteristics and related functions of the comprehensive monitoring of transformer, intelligent components, and protection of ontology of traction transformer. On the basis of the analysis of above, this paper determines the configuration scheme of the protection of ontology of traction transformer. And then according to the configuration scheme of the protection of ontology of traction transformer, this paper build the overall scheme of hardware. According to the function, the protection of ontology of traction transformer has four parts-the plug-in of CPU,AC,I/O, non-electricity and power supply., then this paper details the plug-ins above.This paper briefly introduces the development platform and software design principles of the software. According to the function of the software of the protection of ontology of traction transformer, the soft has four parts-the module of initialization, data sampling, protection, control and display. And then this paper analyses the function of each module, gives out the program’s flow chart, and completes the writing of the program.At last, this paper tests the function of data acquisition, collecting the position of switch and switch control of the protection of ontology of traction transformer. Testing results show that this design can effectively complete the function.
