This thesis is to study the precision centering and leveling table. With the development of modern manufacturing industry to the high precision, high efficiency, high reliability, etc., the precision leveling and centering device which can improve the alignment accuracy and speed of measured workpiece is more and more widely used in the field of measurement. The automatic precision centering and leveling table can save plenty of time of preparation and plays a vital role in improving the measurement efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the research on the theory and technology of precision leveling and centering device.Based on the flexure hinge, this paper proposes an integrated design of an orthogonal two-dimensional leveling mechanism. Two flexible parallelogram guideways are nested in order to produce the two-dimensional centering mechanism. Several common flexure hinges are analyzed to infer the rigidity formula. The operating process of leveling and centering is analysed, and the relation of the deflection angle and the feeding displacement is formalized. The prototype which achieves leveling and centering is built. The experimental results show that the designed table has the advantages of simplized structure, high stiffness, noise-free, operating smoothly and cost effectively. The creep of arbitrary axis is less than 0.4μm.Based on the manual precision centering and leveling table, the automatic precision centering and leveling table is designed, of which adopts the design scheme using the combination of motor and cam mechanism and the compactness and reliability of structure is highlighted. Finally, the control scheme of the system is given.
