Transform On The Accessibility Environment Optimization Of Tourism Town In Western Sichuan

Constructing accessibility environment is a prerequisite to participate equally and together in social activities of achieving the elderly, the disabled and other vulnerable groups with common people. The construction of accessibility environment of big cities developed rapidly since Beijing Olympics and Shanghai World Expo. But this situation of the ancient towns is still very backward.As a dual carrier of the cultural heritage and the intangible cultural heritage, the ancient towns have their unique tourist attraction. Their quiet peaceful atmosphere is very suitable for special needs groups like the disabled, the elderly and so forth and meanwhile doubled friends and relatives comparing with the special needs groups bring economic benefits to the tourism town residents.Attracting more tourists to know about ancient towns has not only promoted the economic development of the ancient towns, is also conducive to the inheritance and development of the ancient towns’ intangible culture. So improving the accessibility environment will take a win-win situation. In this paper, through the study of the psychological needs and behavioral characteristics of vulnerable groups, as well as the study of disabled people’s travel trouble, and a large number of theoretical research studies of the spatial characteristics of the ancient towns in western Sichuan and the disabled status quo, combined with field research and access about a few ancient towns nearby as well as the reference to advanced experience abroad and home, it takes Anren ancient town of Dayi County as an example to accomplish the accessibility transformation and design.This paper is divided into four parts:The first chapter is about the related background research of the accessibility transformation of the ancient towns, including domestic and international accessibility research and practice, the research and practice of disabled people with travel troubles, mainly in transportation, accommodation, dining, attractions and so on;The second chapter includes the basic discipline research of accessibility design and the analysis of scenic accessibility service object and sorts out the different demands on the environment of different tourists who have obstacles, then proposes accessibility transformation measures for tourists who have different obstacles;The third chapter combining with spatial characteristics of the ancient town, for visitors who have obstacles in the catering, accommodation, transportation, attractions and other tourism sectors it provides some targeted recommendations to eliminate obstacle factors;The fourth chapter is on the accessibility environment situation of the accommodation, catering, transportation, attractions and other tourism sectors of Anren ancient town, analyzing its problems and collating the problems, making a design to eliminate tourism obstacles which hinder the vulnerable groups to have a tour in Anren ancient town in most tourism sectors, and proposing sugestions for other problems,striving to do the fundation work for establishing a complete geographic information system of accessibility in the future.
